Since 2008, every week of Samhain, a wave of terror swept the Mercury Cinema. Sir Eric Escofier (editor of the fanzine THE MONSTERS OF THE NIGHT) is back with a new poster display rare and precious. This year is a gold mine that will be exposed to the public. Eric Escofier will offer various trips through time and genres including The Hammer: The Hound of the Baskervilles, the footprint of Frankenstein, the Mummy Hexes, Curse of Frankenstein, The Curse of the Pharaohs ... The bestiary of science fiction: Space Invaders, Valley of Gwangi, Konga, a focus on Barbara Steele: The Pit and the Pendulum, the Cemetery of the Living Dead, The Big Secret of Professor Hitchcock, a focus on European cinema, the castle of the howling dogs, the hunchback of the morgue, the Virgin of Nuremberg, Voyeur, to the Universal of yesteryear: the ghost of the Mummy, Frankenstein the spectrum ... The exhibition is open to all and is completely free.
The Goonies: Friday, October 28 at 19:00 - Mercury Cinema
In association with the French site www.goonies1632.com "AND", "The Goonies," "Ghostbusters," "Back to the Future" ... Fred Vincent Carpentier and China, two film enthusiasts 80 years, decided to revisit the movies of their childhood through "Blast from the '80s," a documentary series currently in production.
On the occasion of the 2nd Week of Fantastic Cinema, they will introduce in the session photos and videos from the movie "The Goonies" while revealing during a Q & A that follows the film many stories about its production and rediscovering places of filming almost 25 years later.
