Terrell Owens has finally received an offer of a football team on Wednesday. Except it is not training in the NFL.
The Chicago Rush in the Arena Football League, issued a statement indicating that he had offered a contract for the 2012 season.
"This is the ideal time to approach this future Hall of Fame," said President and CEO of Rush, Gene Nudo.
The recipient of 37 years has not played this season in the NFL because he is recovering from left knee surgery.
He held a training session on Tuesday, near Los Angeles. No NFL team has sent a scout to the event, which was broadcast by two TV networks.
Fine of $ 20 000 for a kick
The NFL has imposed on Wednesday a fine of $ 20 000 to defensive end Brian Robison, the Vikings for a kick at the point of blocking the Packers TJ Lang.
Robison gave a kick to the groin while Lang was on the ground shortly after placement in an attempt to gain the Packers 33-27 on Sunday.
He expressed regret and said it would not happen again. Lang has accepted the apology of his rival.
