After months of rumors, the Spanish actor, 42, has confirmed he has been cast as the villain for the upcoming 23rd James Bond film, alongside returning Bond stars Daniel Craig and Judi Dench.
The next Bond movie, reportedly titled “Skyfall,” is slated for theatrical release on Nov. 9, 2012.
Javier Bardem confirmed this week on “Nightline” he will play the villain in the next James Bond film, temporarily referred to as Bond 23 (though rumored to be titled Skyfall).
“I’d be playing Bond’s nemesis, yes, but it’s not that obvious. Examples include skyfall-themovie.com and jamesbond-skyfall.com.
Daniel Craig will return as James Bond, his third time donning the suit and pseudonym. Naomie Harris is playing Miss Moneypenny and Judi Dench is returning as Bond’s boss, M.
