"RUSNANO" will invest 1.2 billion rubles in pharmaceutical production in Obninsk

Federal Antimonopoly Service granted the petition of "RUSNANO" to acquire 35 percent shares in the share capital of Kaluga manufacturer of medicines LLC "Nearmedic Pharma", the official site of FAS Russia.

In the future this will allow the state corporations and companies, "Nearmedic plus" to create a universal enterprise full-on production of original nanopreparations who are actively developed in the world "polymeric drugs".

The total project budget will exceed 4 billion rubles, including co-financing "RUSNANO" in $ 1.2 billion. Launch of new production in Obninsk is scheduled for late 2013, the press service of the state corporation. The main production plant will be "Kagotsel" - an antiviral drug production is now organized on the leased premises.

By 2020, the region plans to achieve the 7 per cent of industrial production of pharmaceuticals in Russia (in monetary terms) and 14 per cent share of pharmaceuticals in the volume of industrial production in the region, as well as to create at least 3,000 jobs.
