According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, who are now launching an anti-fraud advertising campaign, "Rodriguez had breast implant surgery from a non-board-certified plastic surgeon and woke up horrified to learn that her implants were merged together."

Not only that, the surgeon performed an unwanted cosmetic eye surgery that left Rodriguez unable to fully close her eyelids. "Patients are getting injured, some are dying during procedures performed by non-board-certified plastic surgeons," said Malcolm Z. Roth, MD, ASPS President. Dr. Anthony Youn, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Troy, Mich., says Rodriguez's surgeon left her with a bad case of symmastia, or "a uniboob."

Rodriguez says she later discovered her surgeon was not board-certified.

Rodriguez had her implants fixed by a board-certified reconstructive surgeon.
