Jani Lane dead
Jani Lane, the once energetic blond lead singer and songwriter for heavy metal band Warrant, died from alcohol poisoning, the Los Angeles County coroner said on Wednesday.
Lane was found dead in a Los Angeles motel room on August 11. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has determined that Jani Lane, the former lead vocalist and songwriter for the 1980s glam metal band Warrant, died of alcohol poisoning.
City News Service reported Wednesday that coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said the cause of death was acute ethanol intoxication.
Lane, 47, was found dead in August in a motel in Woodland Hills, on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Born John Kennedy Oswald in Akron, Ohio, Lane left Warrant in 2008. The cause of death of former Warrant frontman Jani Lane has been named as alcohol poisoning.
