Rock n’ roll daughter Frances Bean Cobain is all grown up.
Courtney Love and grunge frontman Kurt Cobain’s only child recently purchased her own home in West Hollywood. Due to Courtney Love’s hard-charging life, she lost custody of Frances in December 2009.
Frances’ home, which was on the West Hollywood real estate market for $1,890,000 and sold for a reported $1,825,000, is a white stucco, Spanish-inspired home built in 1930.
The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home has 3,350 square feet of living space with many art-deco features including mosaic interlays, stenciled beams, leaded windows, and decorative ironwork. 19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain lives a very private lifestyle. Interest in the daughter of the late Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain, recently piqued, however.
The young artist, who is attending Bard College in New York, recently purchased her first home. Rather, she purchased a $1.8 million mansion in Los Angeles.
Frances Bean Cobain, the only child of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and Hole singer Courtney Love, has purchased a $1.8 million Spanish style home in Los Angeles.
Cobain, 19, presumably purchased the home with funds from a multi-million dollar trust set up three years after her father's 1994 suicide. Cobain, reportedly an undergrad at New York's Bard College, has dabbled in music and art, most notably in July 2010 with an art installation called "Scumf---" at Los Angeles' La Luz de Jesus gallery.
