Justin Timberlake has fulfilled a promise made last summer to accompany the soldier Kelsey De Santis at the ball of the Instructor Battalion of the Navy of the United States, Richmond, Virginia.
That last summer, following a similar proposal from a colleague soldier actress Mila Kunis, Kelsey De Santis made his formal request to the actor-director-singer Justin Timberlake in a video posted on YouTube. The military had even managed to quote the song "Cry Me A River" Justin Timberlake, in case the latter declined the invitation.
Timberlake, at the end of the evening high in emotion said on his personal website, it was "one of the moving parties that [he] had ever had." The artist of 30 years certainly did not expect not to be so moved and touched by the experience.
His companion for the evening, Kelsey De Santis, 23, Timberlake surprised and asked repeatedly if he had fun, it felt good. Touched by this attention, Timberlake said that "it is rare that [he] meets a young woman of 23 years so humble and cool, which is responsible at this point in [his] welfare," he went on to say that his attitude had been thinking: "It suddenly struck me: these are the people who care for us and our freedom ... They are humble and concerned about the happiness of others before their own ... C ' is the kind of person that our Marine Corps built. It literally blew me. "
Still according to Timberlake, a video montage of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, the Second World War and the September 11, 2001 almost led to tears. "It was a surreal moment: to be in that room with so many Marines who have proved their excellence and have a link so different from ours in these events."
The other star of the film "Friends With Benefits" (VF: Modern Friends), Mila Kunis, will in turn an opportunity to go to another ball, the Marine Corps in Greenville, North Carolina, on November 18.
